Here: Lived-in blonde is built to grow out. Toner, root shadow and careful foil placement mean the regrowth blends instead of banding, and every price on the menu is based on a 4 to 10 week regrowth, so you are back when it suits you.

Here: That is exactly what the free consultation is for. Sit down with a stylist, talk through your hair history, see the salon, and only book once you are sure. No pressure, no deposit for the consult.

Here: Colour corrections, dark to blonde and blonde to dark are priced after an in-person assessment, never guessed from a picture, so you know what it takes before anyone touches your hair.

What we do
A small team of colour specialists, a menu priced in plain sight, and finishing packages that send you out the door styled rather than damp. Prices are for a 4 to 10 week regrowth.
Foils and toning
Partial, half head, full head and full-coverage foils for bright, clean, dimensional blonde, finished with toner, a root shadow and a blow-dry. The Platinum Card, for a lighten and tone or back to back foils, is priced at consultation.
Hand-painted dimension
Sun-kissed, hand-painted colour with a soft regrowth that looks better as it grows. An express refresh brightens existing balayage with a few hairline foils, a tip-out or root shadow and a gloss. First-time balayage gets the full 3 hours.
Brunettes, coppers, fixes
Glossy all-over colour and regrowth retouches for brunettes and reds, plus the tricky jobs: dark to blonde, blonde to dark, box dye removal and colour correction. Corrections are quoted at a free in-salon consultation.
The whole family
Wash, cut and blow-dry for long and short hair, men's cuts, kids from 5 to 12, fringe trims, blow waves and roller sets for the nights that matter. A cut and blow-dry package can be added to any colour.
Kérastase in salon
Kérastase Fusio-Dose treatments customised to your hair on the day, Premiere for hair that has been through the wringer, Malibu C for blondes and swimmers, Cezanne smoothing or SmoothFiller to calm frizz for up to 3 months, and nanoplasty for a straighter finish that lasts longer.
Shop online
Gift vouchers for anything on the menu, in the amount you choose, plus this season's Kérastase gift sets. Pay securely online, then pick up from the salon on Alberto Lane.
Pricing menu
Every foiling and balayage service is paired with a finishing package, which covers your toner, root shadow and a styled finish. Prices are based on a 4 to 10 week regrowth; longer gaps may need extra product.

The salon
Jenna Ellen Hair sits in the block of shops next to Joe's Garage on Alberto Lane, in the heart of Silverdale. Inside, rendered walls, a blackened ceiling, brass fittings, polished concrete and arched, back-lit mirrors give it an industrial calm that is a long way from a strip-mall salon.
Retail shelves carry Kérastase, Redken, Davines, O&M and ghd, so what your stylist uses on the day is what you can take home.

Hair history, what you want it to do at 6 weeks, and what it will cost. Nothing starts until you are happy with the plan.

If you are new to the salon, changing colour dramatically, or need a correction, yes, and it is free. It takes 15 to 20 minutes with any stylist. For a regrowth refresh or a trim you can book straight in online.
At Jenna Ellen Hair, a half head of balayage is from $240 and a full head is from $290, plus a finishing package from $90 that covers your toner, root shadow and blow-dry. First-time balayage on hair that has never been coloured is from $390 plus the finishing package.
Lived-in blonde and balayage are designed to grow out softly, so most clients rebook every 4 to 10 weeks. Every price on the menu is based on that window; longer gaps may need extra product.
A 20% deposit secures colour appointments and 50% secures other services. You can move an appointment and keep your deposit with a week's notice. Changes within 3 days incur a 20% fee, and same-day cancellations or no-shows are charged 50% of the service.
The car park out the front allows 90 minutes free. Longer colour appointments are covered too: enter your plate at the iPad on the front desk and it extends to 5 hours.
Yes, Afterpay is available in salon, along with cash and card.
Yes. Men's cuts are from $50, kids aged 5 to 12 are from $60, or from $70 with a wash. For children under 5, give the salon a call first.
The salon is in Silverdale and most clients come from across the Hibiscus Coast, Rodney and the North Shore: Orewa, Hatfields Beach, Millwater, Milldale, Red Beach, Stanmore Bay, Whangaparaoa, Manly, Gulf Harbour, Stillwater, Dairy Flat, Wainui, Albany, Browns Bay, the East Coast Bays and Warkworth.
Where our clients come from
Silverdale sits at the crossroads of the fastest-growing corner of Auckland. If you have just moved into Millwater or Milldale, drive up from Albany or the East Coast Bays, or come down from Warkworth, the salon is 2 minutes off the motorway at the Silverdale exit with free parking at the door.
